  • Together with his friends, visited the courtyard during the concert of Jean-Michele Jarre. Of course, we did not have the opportunity to visit museums, but in general this fortification left a pleasan...  more »
  • Despite that there are currently grown significantly there is plenty to see. A number of interesting exhibitions on both the Citadel and the life in Berlin. Also the view from the Julius Tower is well worth it. Nice to visit if you're in Spandau.

  • The fortress is a medium-sized, in very good condition. Arrived in the morning on a weekday, there was almost no visitors. Gladly walked on walls. Ticket 4.5 euros.

  • We got eloped here! Fantastic service, beautiful location, very kind and thoughtful workers. Highly recommended as a wedding location or event venue!
  • This place was really interesting. I think it is not worth to go inside museums. Only cannon museum and commander museum were interesting. You suggest to go at the top of the tower.
  • Awesome historical place. You can go in and just pay for 4.5€ (2.5 € for student, it's relatively cheap for student compare to other museum in Berlin) You could see so many stuff in the museum and you can go to tower to see the beautiful scenery in that place.
  • Prophets of Rage were awesome here. Great venue
  • Lovely, great feel to it and love that you can get up to the walls easily. Great during easter for the festival too.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
