  • It comes from a small tree-lined Avenue. The view is of great impact: the area surrounded by a glass structure is partly covered by a sort of open cylinder on top from which depart by way of branches attached to buildings around that at nightfall lighting with alternating colors. A show within the show architecture

  • The Sony Center offers something for many tastes. To the one, the unique at that time undertaking an entire building, namely the Kaisersaal, 78 m to implement, but also the diverse range of within the Center. Cinema, beer gardens and restaurants available for the little ones, namely LEGOLAND. All in all a good mix of young and old. Major sports event is transmitted on a big screen and opposite can be reached with the fastest elevator in Europe to the highest vantage point in Berlin. 107m above the rooftops of Berlin make wonderful panoramic pictures

  • It is a wonder to behold. It's worth spending even just to take a peek. Really leaves you speechless.

  • I mostly go here for the movies. They have big premieres with famous actors, have a very nice movie theatre with 8 screens plus one for premieres. The restaurants in Sony Center are quite pricey and feel quite touristic, but they are ok. They have an amazing Christmas tree up in the air with lights with start around the same time as the Christmas markets in town. Well worth seen. One shall have visited this area at least once when in Berlin.
  • A very cool, upscale location. A good place to see movies in all sorts of constellations (regular, 3D, 3D IMAX) and they always play English movies in the original version. Tickets are obviously on the more expensive end, but the theaters are roomy and clean and the seats are comfortable, so that makes up for the price. The Sony Center is also home to some restaurants, a Starbucks and a small book store, so there are a few things to do while you wait for your movie to start.
  • Amazing place. Visit only at night. The lighting is unbelievably beautiful. Variety of restaurants to choose from.
  • Good place. The floating structure on the dome looks beautiful. Imax cinema in the centre. Places to eat.
  • Sony Center is a beautiful place to hang out. Lots of shops nearby. Not really good for someone on a budget though. Still, emphasis on the fact that it's gorgeous like a horse is.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
