  • Be sure to visit the castle of Köpennick, interesting visit, Golden Hall with beautiful landscaped garden. The images in the garden are not really the trouble but the whole.

  • Accessible with a package daily by S-BAHN from the zoo in 30 minutes in zone B, then by tram or bus, there is no crowd. This castle is on an island and offers a magnificent Baroque and rococo decorations. It is up to the State museums for €6

  • Who has enough from the bustle of Berlin, is an atmospheric castle on a small island, whose exhibition I can recommend but be careful very in Köpenick: through the centuries the Castle has seen many uses and hence no shows Original equipment or premises. Only ceilings have been preserved. Instead, the exhibition deals with works of spatial art from Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo, which is very interesting. Old wardrobes, chests, doors or all furnishings including wall cladding are anything but boring in this case. The works are very impressive. First of all, makes the pieces-that comes very close to the exhibits and often even can't touch them, tangible as in other museums. A very informative audioguide is included in the entry, you should use in each case, because only through him the better opens up. Fortunately, one has waived the tablets like to set out in other museums. During the week we were there the autumn, and it was agenehm empty and quiet. Surprised the vast number of staff has given us. Front of and next to the castle there is a small park, which includes the small island. The Castle Cafe is located opposite the Castle. Here it should be very nice in summer for sitting outside and to look at the water.

  • Interesting for a visit but nothing to make you want to come back for more. Signage could be in German and at least English. Workshops not open on Saturday and chapel not open. OK it is January but there were a number of visitors
  • On an island in the Dahme River, just before it feeds the Spree, sits the only Baroque palace in Berlin to make it to the 21st century unchanged. Another residence for the Hohenzollerns, Schloss Köpenick is often referred to as the Water Palace (Wasserschloss) for its picturesque waterside setting, and took on its current form under after a reconstruction ordered by the future Frederick I in the 17th century. He turned a Renaissance hunting lodge into a plush Baroque residence, adorned with exuberant stuccowork by the Italian decorator Giovanni Caroveri. Within there’s an exhibition by Berlin’s Kunstgewerbemusuem showcasing applied art from the Renaissance, Baroque and Rococo periods.
  • Tiny museum for a pleasant afternoon. The entrance is somewhat hidden. There should be more signs guiding you towards the entrance. It's nothing overwhelmingly special but it is surely nice for a couple of hours. The exhibition is what you would expect. Perfect for older people. There is no rush and it is not crowded at all.
  • It's pretty. I expected more.
  • The contents are nice enough to look at, it's just a shame that the audio guide's English version has quite a few missing audio files.
