Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.

  • Great place
  • a bit off the beaten track, but totally worth to visit the ruin in the heart of Berlin
  • Its really an interesting idea to visit.
  • Special atmosphere by the peace and quiet in the middle of the city. Excellent suitable as a photo opportunity during a visit to Berlin or to the depiction of the city's history. The foundations are from the first half of the 13th century. Supplements and was built over the next 200 years. Destroyed in the second world war and preserved in the GDR as a Memorial.

  • I'm glad to see that it still is. If only the half. But the monastery district in itself is worth a visit. A history met at every step. But what should the plush PA inside the monastery? I read the note with the Declaration. Should be art. Well anyway.
