Create an itinerary including Potsdamer Platz
An ever-expanding shopping and commercial area, Potsdamer Platz was once trapped in the no-man's-land dividing East and West Germany. At one of the busiest traffic intersections on the continent, the square now attracts visitors with its ultra-modern glass and steel architecture. This spot marks the point where the old road from Potsdam once passed through the city wall of Berlin. Almost totally destroyed during World War II, the square became the largest European building site in the 1990s. Near the square, you can explore a cluster of cultural buildings filled with museums, theaters, and art galleries. Before you head to Berlin, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Berlin trip maker app, to make sure you see all that Berlin has to offer, including Potsdamer Platz.

  • If you are around the are, walk through it, but don’t go out of your way to go see this. The Sony Center is lame. Tourist trap.

  • The history unfolds here and this is one of the main square in Berlin that you should visit when you are here. We took a Coffee and strolled around followed by Lundt chocolate

  • After our dissapointment at Alexanderplatz the day before(please refer to my review about it), we didn't expect much from Potsdamer; regardless, we decided to pay just so we wouldn't say later that...

  • Vibrant, Multicultural Business district of Berlin, although very modern in architecture as compared to the other parts of Berlin, but that’s where the black eagle flexes its wings. I am not 100% sure but, a black eagle is associated with change of some kind, and ending one thing so something better can begin. A black eagle also symbolizes energetic protection and shadow work.
  • Awesome history, you will be here on your sight seeing trip, checking where the wall was, how it looked like before and of course the transformation today. Crazy and great. Close by the Sony center, Mall of Berlin (shopping for the ladies), spy museum, lots of other great places
  • Potsdamer Platz was great, even though it’s hard to find a parking space. It’s full of cars, and you need to pay for parking. We had good luck as we arrived shortly before 9pm at the weekend. From 9pm til next day it’s free. You have everything you need. Cinema, Casino, Restaurants, Bars…
  • What to say? Nice square, good quick bite everywhere... But if you stop for a moment and close your eyes, you could feel the energy of events that happened there in the past and a mass of decisive people who took a part in them.
  • Beautiful place with specific atmosphere. Here you can find some museums which are also worthy of visit. A big variety of restaurants. But the Christmas fair was on the low level. Only food and one attraction
