  • The main reason we've visited this museum was to see Ishtar Gate. Just as we expected it was incredible! Even by itself, it was worth the money. Also, we had not seen Babylon artefacts previously, so ...  more »
  • Major construction of the antique that you can see in its entirety. Very interesting and entertaining with a free audioguide in Spanish. The penalty is that in March 2018 is in works and more than half of the Museum closed... I'll have to go back...

The building of the road is to see the city wall has been worth back to the price of the ticket

  • Beautiful museum i must say. I also appreciate the founders and the people behind this museum who have reconstructed the ancient excavations. They tried to potrait the realness of rich history dating back to centuries past with easy story telling. We can look and feel each and every collection. Its magnificent..!! Do visit this place if you are in Berlin
  • Great museum - highly recommended. The exhibits include the city gate of Babylon. There is some construction at the museum at the moment but it doesn't take away from the exhibit. Not too busy on a weekday in the late afternoon. Highly recommended for anyone interested in classical history. One of the most remarkable museums of its kind in northern Europe.
  • Of course this museum is a must-see: the gates of Babylon that Nebuchadnezzar erected! This is a real lesson in many ways for children. ('How did Babylon's gates end up here, Mama?') Our children were thrilled with the chance to see these riches, except for the fact that the guards are paranoid in general about children visiting the museum, and are very well-practiced in the German tradition of scolding. My children's behavior was impeccable, but I could feel that the guards were visibly suspicious of us everywhere we went. Incredibly, I got scolded for the (rather harmless) behavior of someone else's child, as I was the most proximal adult female (!!). Guards, please learn how to interact with children such as not to spoil their otherwise lovely experience here.
  • This is a museum that in the constructions shown which came from Turkey mostly. They were built up by Ancient Anatolian cultures. If you want to see more, You better visit Turkey! (Anyway I wonder why they were taken from Turkey. It should be questioned.)
  • Great museum for a history lover, and an excellent audio guide included in the price. However, over half of the space is currently under construction, which is not very clearly communicated outside. Consider combining to a day ticket or a museum pass instead of paying the regular price.
