4.2/5 based on 120 reviews on the web
Oranienburgerstrasse, the former center of Jewish life in Berlin, is now known for its restaurants and lively night scene. Walk through the streets to admire street art and people-watch; stop into a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and bars; or try the Kunsthaus Tacheles, an alternative art center and nightclub. Visit the New Synagogue, famous for being saved during Kristallnacht, or one of the many other Jewish landmarks. Several hotels and hostels provide overnight accommodations. The street is also known for its prominent, legal prostitution at night--something to keep in mind if you're traveling with children.
