Neue Nationalgalerie, a museum of modern art, focuses on works from the 20th century. Before entering, take time to appreciate the iconic Modern building designed by German architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. Inside, study works by Edvard Munch, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Francis Bacon, Gerhard Richter, and Andy Warhol. Step outside to admire the sculpture gardens, also designed by van der Rohe. If you hope to see a particular work, avoid disappointment by checking online before your visit to ensure that it will be on display. Only a small selection of the gallery's extensive collection can be shown at one time. To visit Neue Nationalgalerie on your trip to Berlin, use our Berlin itinerary maker.
