  • Off the beaten tourist track is however an interesting stage: the recovery of an old industry retrained and cultural. The GDR's life through everyday objects testifying to a "minimal" technology.

  • This is a gem of a museum. Packed with lots of things, ranging from a Trabi with a tent on top, to regular food products and everyday household items, to a fascinating look at how the East German stat...  more »
  • interesting Museum in which to explore some aspects in the life of the DDR. Here you will find antiques, clips and excerpts from documentaries accompanied by objective descriptions, mostly translated into English. It moves freely as not a crowded Museum (as it is the well known ddr museum, extremely low quality). the staff were friendly and helpful and the free entry. recommended!

  • One of the very good free museum of Berlin. It is located, in a remote part of the ex-eastern Berlin. Like most museums in Berlin, they kind of forget the tourists in terms of translations. Most but not all of the explanations are in English and the rest in German. However, they have made an instructive, playful and original museum. You will learn a lot about all the aspects of the daily life of eastern Germans. The building in itself (former brewery) is also interesting. Put this on your to do list.
  • It's a very informative and educative museum about the DDR time. Little is told during history lessons in Holland so was lots of new information. Big plus as it's free!
  • Amazing look into the lives of people in the GDR
  • I enjoyed it. I recommend it.
  • Great museum that is a must for tourists
