Specialty Museum Museum
For a spooky museum experience, visit Monsterkabinett--a haunted-house art gallery established by the art group Dead Pigeon Collective. Make your way through the dark and daunting atmosphere of this old warehouse as spooky robotic creatures and costumed actors emerge from every corner. The space and collection are fascinating, but the overall experience is not suitable for visitors who are sensitive to flashing lights, loud noises, and frightening scenarios. With our world travel planner, Berlin attractions like Monsterkabinett can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • I didn't know what to expect to Monsterkabinett, but I didn't search for information and it was good choice. Its very surrealistic experience, quite short but very intensive. The name of the place exp...  more »
  • The place itself is amazing, the wall art outside, the bars, the graffitti and all is just amazing! However, DO NOT attend the "monsters show", it will be the worst 8 euros you'll spend (6 if you're a...  more »
  • We stumbled on this place by accident. It is a short robotic "Monster" cabaret put on by some local artists. The "guide" was really passionate about the show and really played the role. It isn't very ...  more »

  • Easily one of the coolest places in Berlin. Definitely a "must see" on any trip to Berlin (summer and winter). It's great to know that places like this still exist in Berlin so please make sure to support this one-of-a-kind place! Check opening times.
  • If you like edgy, home-made art with a steampunk vibe, don't miss this place. There are only probably nine pieces but they range in size from tabletop to room-filling. While the whole thing is computerized, the individual pieces work by hydraulics and clanking metal. (And I mean CLANKING -- somebody asked for earplugs while I was there.) Show is about half an hour long and ends with a five-minute industrial metal song lip-synced by a giant five-headed ... uh, thing in a mirrored room. If this doesn't intrigue you, stay away. Admission is 8 euros and there are showtimes you'll need in advance: last night I was there at 7:30.
  • Very friendly staff. Awesome crew. Amusing and fun experience! Lasts about 20 minutes and is great to go with a drink. Costs about €8
  • Weird weird place. I wish the act would be better developed, it has potential to be interesting
  • So... We arrived, paid, told the show would start in 30 mins and that we should come back. When we did, we were told to wait in the cinema foyer and that the guy running the show would come and get us when it was time. Another 30 mins later we had still not been picked up, so we went down to check on the guy. The show was over, he had forgotten about us. We got a refund and a sticker. The one star is for inconsiderate, poor service.
