Monsterkabinett, Berlin

(3.5/5 based on 100+ reviews on the web)
For a spooky museum experience, visit Monsterkabinett--a haunted-house art gallery established by the art group Dead Pigeon Collective. Make your way through the dark and daunting atmosphere of this old warehouse as spooky robotic creatures and costumed actors emerge from every corner. The space and collection are fascinating, but the overall experience is not suitable for visitors who are sensitive to flashing lights, loud noises, and frightening scenarios. With our world travel planner, Berlin attractions like Monsterkabinett can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • We stumbled on this place by accident. It is a short robotic "Monster" cabaret put on by some local artists. The "guide" was really passionate about the show and really played the role. It isn't very ...  more »
  • Went here with my girlfriend. Thought might be fun and a little creepy. It was just so weird. The 'monsters' are well built but gets pretty boring doing the same thing. The guide spoke in both german ...  more »
  • They were quite fun with music 20 minutes and a gloomy atmosphere, is quite curioao, you don't expect American cinema special effects but they are some pretty special monsters, you guide the visit as a kind of passage of terror, if you take something before you get better, I somewhat drunk VAT and I spent it well dancing and everything since they put music to it recommended, are 8 euros per head that if but well not really anything similar elsewhere.

  • Located in a rather challenging place to find, that will give you a small idea of how amazing this experience will be. You'll know when you find it as you'll be received by one of the artists. It's a mechanical adventure, on a museum that does not stay put in one place. It's original and amazing. Me and my girlfriend just loved it. And it's with every euro we paid.
  • Memorable sensory experience, maybe even overload, but not really sure what the concept is underlying it. Sure, it involves monsters, but they are mechanical. And if they are mechanical, why the biotic features? So not sure how that links into the idea that it is art, but it is certainly a performance.
  • Very weird show of amazing special effects characters left over from a band.
  • This place is amazing! It was very funny and impressive. But, this is not for kids- there are many creepy things that will make them nightmares. Recommended for 14+
  • Strange, strange place. If you want something quick and weird this is the place for you, it only lasts about 25 minutes, but it's 25 minutes of wandering round what is like a Jim Henson nightmare.
