  • To run on a day like today by the s-Bahnhof Wannsee Villa is already great to drink but still a cool non-alcoholic beer on the terrace after one has enjoyed garden and exhibition, just always be beautiful again. A small cult Urod in Wannsee, Berlin.

  • We were visiting the summerhouse of Max Liebermann in August. Easily walkable into town with a train or light rail and then by bus. Need a ticket covering zones ABC and for a small group (up to 5 persons) the daily costs about 17 euros altogether. You enter the outhouse and you reach a wonderful flower garden, an authentic hortus conclusus, then you enter the villa itself. Here on the first floor is a small exhibition about the artist that take into account this plein air painter lived between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. There are paintings depicting angles of the garden and the House, which the editors of the site have done well. On the ground floor there is a café and enjoy a quiche or a slice of cake looking at the Wannsee. The second part of the garden in front of the other side of the villa and reaches the Lake. Is a really romantic. Is the German equivalent of Monet's Garden at Giverny: less colourful and sunny because of region, but you will discover and love a great artist and a beautiful soul, which was then also the Nazi persecution. And in fact you will find traces of him at the Jewish Museum in Berlin, in a red thread to help you understand the important contribution of the Jewish community to the city of Berlin.
