Mauerpark, Berlin

(4.2/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Established by city officials as a green space after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Mauerpark contains a piece of the former barrier between East and West Germany. Take a walk past traces of the Wall from Behmstrasse along Norwegerstrasste toward Bornholmer Strasse. You can also see remnants while walking along Bernhauser Strasse from Eberswalder Strasse in the direction of the Berlin Wall Memorial. At the memorial, peruse the flea market for vinyl records, East German memorabilia, or new and vintage fashion. • A large open air market, where you can find everything from antique lamps at odd bits and bobs. Objects of the years 60, old cameras etc. Then walking arrivals such a forum where stone in the middle of the stage that is created, you can attend performances of all kinds, from rap, hip hop music, dances to the sound of the wildest stereo. Great to spend a Sunday with friends.

  • Mauerpark, I warmly recommend. 1. You can get really close to the Berlin wall and experience a lot of exciting and constantly-changing grafitti art. 2. Every Sunday there is the biggest flea market in Berlin, with exciting products, both used and new. In addition, there are a lot of delicious food stands offering food from around the world

  • A large park and very neat. We are Berliners to stroll, jog and reflect every day of the week. If you are a fan of flea markets go instead on Sundays and you may run the risk of finding some goodies from spectacular collection. Stimulating.

  • Great flea market every Sunday. You can find vintage clothes, accessories, cameras and any kind of weird stuff. If you're a tourist you should definitely go.
  • The Sunday market is great. Lots of good food and articles. You can find almost anything. Try the arepas for some tasty south american food. Just go hangout with the different performances and the famous karaoke (around 3pm)
  • Almost all shops (except restaurants) are closed on Sundays, making this a very good Sunday activity (it's only open on Sundays anyways). There are also Karaoke sessions at 3PM which honestly you have to experience it to know it.
  • Love the place. Specially on Sundays, super lively with lot's of variety of food to buy and live free music
