  • Based on a recommendation, I landed in the Marheineke market Hall in Kreuzberg. There's booths, where you can eat very tasty. I was at the Greek and ordered a veal shank - a real treat for me. Does nothing if you got no place out front of the market Hall, just inside sitting on bar stools at narrow tables. It seemed to me that the Spartan furnishings rather more intensively experience the flavor left. That will be my goal again and again the veal shank during the next visit of Berlin. Then you then further strolls through the market hall and indulge here and there a small treat or an espresso.

  • This might be fine for those who likes a picknick in free air, enjoying the space of an old airport. Start your trip at Markthalle Marheinekeplatz. Nearby is Bergmannstraße, a very popular and ice nei...  read more »
  • The great thing about the Marheineke Markthalle is especially that you are much different. Culinary specialities from around the world. For that reason alone, as a tourist attraction suitable. You can also eat guests interested in everything; enough seating space. By cheap sandwich or snack to a full meal, something for everyone. What I find unfortunate is that it sometimes on the evening happens to all or many of the stands are empty or have already started cleaning up. As if the focus is mainly on the afternoon guests light. In addition you have to pay 50 cents for the toilet, also as a guest ...

  • Great place, coming from Singapore. This is like our food court. The beer is cheaper than water. There are a wide variations of food to choose too. We had Agora Greek Food.
  • Less of a tourist attraction than Markthalle 9 - Marheinekehalle is a place for the people who actually live in Kreuzberg. You can buy groceries as well as delicatessen, and you can eat really well among a normal crowd. Try Bio Buffet burgers and galettes at La Normandie. Cheese at Knippenberg is among the best in town.
  • Too much meat and fish and cheese. Thank God there is a vegan Veganz supermarket on the first floor. Also the Goodies deli upstairs has pretty good lunch options :) nyummmm!
  • Lovely place to chill out with a glass of wine and a book. Always a busy crowd and fantastic food to nibble on.
  • Excellent covered market with everything organic vegetables to stationery. There are a series of lunch stalls along the front, many of which are attached to relevant national-speciality delis. Newly opened upstairs is a vegan café and vegan 'supermarket'.
