Met up with a few colleagues for a quick meeting. Lovely, calm place with excellent cakes on offer - will have to take advantage next time. Maybe it was a bit late in the day, but it was very quiet an...  more »

I visited the museum with my teenage sons last week. We heard about KPM through the Berlin card which allows the holders to visit the museum and paint a piece of china free of charge! I enjoy a nice p...  more »

One of the coolest porcelain factories. Famous for its bears with raised hands (symbol of Berlin factories). You can look at the manufacturing process produces products, you can wander through the Museum (which we did) and, of course, buy a souvenir.

  • I expected more! A few pieces are shown. It is great that you can watch a porcelain painter, who knows the operating inside and out and with their expertise really like to answer every conceivable question. We were then in the Café of the KPM and shocked about the prices! A cup of coffee €5.20! The cake looked delicious, but worth not his price of €4.80 also. You want to probably repair the very high quality and informative brochure about the KPM with the Café that will be handed out to visitors... An audio-guide was not available.

  • Definitely a Must-visit place in Berlin, if you are interested in Prussian Tradition of making good porcelain! Audio guides available. Top level quality German porcellain displayed at the Factory's outlet shop. (can be purchased) Recommend to anyone who likes very good coffee and lovely atmosphere at the KPM cafe Germany (Prussia) magnetic! Magnetic factories also have to go up to Meissen, Berlin a great tradition and history. You can also shop at outlet stores. Coffee shop coffee is delicious, atmosphere of the restaurant is unspoiled. It is good.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
