Humboldt-Box, Berlin

(3.8/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
A project of the Berlin City Palace, Humboldt-Box is a futuristic museum that displays the city's collection of Asian art, ethnographic artifacts, and Prussian objects. The octagon-shaped, glass building is surrounded by manicured lawns that are covered with residents' picnic blankets on fair-weather days. A restaurant with a terrace overlooking the lawns is on the attraction's top floor. Enjoy a glass of German wine there after touring the eclectic collections inside the large, open rooms. Make Humboldt-Box a part of your Berlin vacation plans using our Berlin travel itinerary maker.

  • Interesting to see Berlin from the terrace. Remains in front of the Cathedral. Very nice for the reconstruction of Berlin and to the pathway on climate and the environment that is being gutted in the halls.

  • Interesting place that details the work ongoing in the building just beside. Even if it is a temporary building, the exhibitions and explanations are worth stopping by for an hour or so. Free to enter...  more »
  • Went to find out when you are finished with the construction of the Humboldt-Forum, and it turned out that the inside is a lot of interesting places. On the last floor is completely free to climb the observation deck. We were in January, may, therefore. Before that I read in reviews that the lookout was paid. Specify.

  • Great views on the upper terrasse of the building. Nice jewlery in the store on the 1st floor.
  • nice place to have a free view. on the top of the building, i can enjoy the whole middle berlin.
  • The place is woth a visit. They have a model of old Berlin with explanation about the old palace that was taken down after WWII by the comunists. There is also an excellent view from the top balcony and the café on the top floor is very good.
  • Great views.
  • If you are looking for a good view to the city, then this is a perfect place for you! If you are thinking on going to the restaurant, then I would not suggest. Service is VERY BAD. Museum has some interesting things, but when you will be walking around you will feel that you are internment, because security is following you everywhere. It's almost like you have a personal security with you. It has 2 stars only because of the view.
