  • Not the full museum is open at the moment and found the price of €14 for this exhibition high. Beautiful building though!
  • Bad timing was the expectation of some degree, visited the hamblegger-banhoff contemporary art museum, did not display anything in this space. Was the exhibition replacement period?.... Should go check. Just junk of a previous exhibition waste mountain and middle staff, sprawling space with high ceilings, standing solo scene is just like "Untitled" (laughs)? Would have been if you had many exhibits of Coco, the better impression of the hamblegger-banhoff Museum of contemporary art. Sorry....

  • I'll start by saying we didn't visit the whole museum and only got tickets for the Manifesto video show by Julian Rosefeldt. It was totally worth the visit even without going to anything else, and is ...  more »

  • I visited the Museum with a friend earlier this year and i must say, with the exception of the Anti Nazi art, We were both of the opinion that it would have been better if the Bahnhof had remained a railway museum. The Carl Andre exhibition annoyed us greatly. Especially the idiotic Film of the Artist Jogging about in his Studio made us Wonder about the sanity of this exhibition. Perhaps Berlin could spend the Money on more relevant Art instead of this nonsense.
  • Modern art, extensive collection and some pieces that just make you think about a lot of things. Was there with the Das Kapital exhibit in 2016. Loved it!
  • After looking at reviews here, I can understand why some people can be turned off by this place. The staff are not helpful and it can be confusing to navigate. After we got in we could see that a line for tickets had started and with only two service counters, this line looked as though it would take forever. But, if you get here early, you will be rewarded with some consistently brilliant shows. The curating is not just expert, it is creative and bold and sometimes courageous. The texts that they provide, in multiple languages and usually in a paper form you can take away are thoughtful, we'll researched and informative. This is a great museum, if you can suffer through the service issues.
  • Contemporary art gallery. Beautiful building. Quality of work depend a lot on the exhibition and artist. It's a hit and miss.
  • Went to Hamburger Banhof with my wife and paid 14 Euros each for a ticket. Not even 10 minutes into our tour of the museum an alarm went off and a very rude security guard shouted at us in German to leave immediately. We of course went outside immediately and waited for over an hour to see if we could go back into the museum and continue our tour that we paid for but alas they decided to close for the day. We asked to get our money back since we only stayed about 8 minutes but we rudely told by staff to come back the next day to either finish our tour or get our money back. The issue we had was that it was our last day in berlin and we wanted our money back. So the next day we woke up early ( they open at 11 am) we bought a metro ticket, went all the way back to the museum to get our money back and what do we find? The same rude staff from the day before telling us that they do not do refunds. This place is a scam, they take your money, they kick you out and when you ask for a refund since you spent less than 10 minutes inside they say they don't do refunds. Avoid at all costs.
