  • Weekend is an excellent place for walks, shopping and eating. The ambietne is very friendly and relaxed.

  • Here, we bought several things among the homemade and interesting things in the stalls. There were hand-sewn underwear, jewelry and other things made from old knives and forks and more. We were here by chance because it was the focal point for a walking tour. So it was just super to go around here in the area including the streets adjacent to the, which also had interesting businesses. In addition to the actual market is there streetfood bars and restaurants, of which one of them was with hanging chairs and 24/7 open, so it is a place that never sleeps.

  • Hackescher Markt is a wonderful square that has an amazing amount of pubs, bars and restaurants in. It's aimed predominantly at the tourist but it's a fun place. There are some great pubs here such as ...  more »

  • There are many restaurants on the square. In the summer you dine in a really nice atmosphere, the noise is fascinating. Hundreds of people chattering and banging their forks to the plates and the echo. It is very well connected as the East West line runs directly past it and you can access the Berlin dungeon from here, the walk through horror thingy. If I got that right.
  • If you look for a kind of hidden spot in Berlin you will find it here. Many locals and a nice atmosphere. Street theater and nice restaurants with good food.
  • A nice market with lots of eating options. There was live music as well. It was a great evening for some drinks outside.
  • I have a stop over in Hachkescher Markt ,Nice place to buy things like clothes ,snacks ,drinks and many more.I make little shopping there with my friends. Here is easy to get some of Berlin designed clothes ,bags at cheaper rate .
  • Good place for transfers. Lots of good restaurants around. Really close to the museum island.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
