NOT recommended! Drug dealers! Very primitive dangerous ⚠️ the best does not come to the area. Neukölln Kreuzberg ❌ ❌

This is one hundred percent the best place to experience Strassefestival'u. This is a huge park with rolling clouds to special people (as is). Good place for a picnic and fun type of badminton, frisbee.

After Alexanderplatz (assaults, robbery, drug trafficking) the second focal point of crime in Berlin. In March, the Senate abandoned the strict zero-tolerance policy and I am pleased the drug dealers in the Görlitzer Park. Looking for rest better in other parks of Berlin.

  • Fantastic place to hang out and talk to random people. Young alternative crowd hanging out playing Frisbee and guitars. Very safe. Just smile and say no to the drug dealers at every gate, they are not scary :)
  • A really nice park, loads of things to do with soccer fields to a petting zoo, and loads of people hang out here. The only issue and why it is not rated higher is, that you get constantly asked if you want to buy some "good stuff" by the resident dealers in the park, but they are more annoying than dangerous, if you just ignore them they go back to minding their own business.
  • Great park to hang out, might look intimidating at night but people are super friendly and there are cool places around to drink a beer
  • Walking around Berlin, we entered the park. There were 'watchers' at the entrances, and a few meters in we go offered drugs by three people sitting on a bench. A few seconds later a local German passed with her children nearby. It was surreal to see people playing with dogs and taking the kids for a walk in a gang and drug heavy area. We kept walking southward into Kreuzberg, there were what seemd groups of unemployed young men just sitting there. It may be the German political correct mentality, but it was too much for me. My advice: stay away from Kreuzberg and South Friedrichshain for the coming time.
  • Yeah, the guys selling drugs at all the park entrances can be a little intimidating. But it's still a great park, with lots of space to lay in the sun and people-watch.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
