Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.

  • A quite large super mall with shops of many famous brands as well as cafes. Parking house free of charge for the first three hours
  • A nice mall with a lot of shopping and eating options. Plenty to do here and convenient to the underground and train station. There is also a park nearby
  • A medium sized shopping mall to get anything from a haircut over grocery to technical gadgets. The parking lot is easy to access and the center itself makes small expos to walk through and is always nice and clean.
  • Good place to make your usual shopping. Not beautiful or exciting, but you will find what you need.
  • Not too bad, as long as you avoid the junkies. P.S. Don't eat the pizza.
