Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.

  • A cool example of modern functional institutional architecture. The entrance to the building is covered by a batman like construction. Found some people protesting for gay rights.  more »
  • Unfortunately we didn't knew that you can book in advance a visit in the building. But from outside it is also a very good example of modern architecture.  more »

  • It is actually nice to have a tour. The color is weird it is some turquoise that reminded me of a swimming pool. What is really awesome is the art inside. It is mostly young modern Art but it doesn't look like 'I could do that myself, only someone said this was art'. It really is pretty and fun to look at. Also you can visit the rooms were the meetings take place. It is really cool
  • Nice modern architecture. You can pass by when being on the way to the Bundestag building.
  • Didn't get a chance to see the inside but outside is nice and modern.
  • Chanceller Merkel is actually the best leader in this world, a mix of Lincoln and Ghandi with whom she'll be compared in the future. An she made Germany the greatest democratic country in this new century where hate madness is spreading throughout the world. Today Jesus is a woman, and her name is Angela.
  • Still need to go inside, but the outside is beautiful!
