  • You want a beautiful sculpture exhibition in a tastefully renovated Studio + new cultivation see? You want to not spend hours are and be pushed from object to object? You enjoy it, to allow time for the individual viewing? Then I highly recommend the current Alfred braiding home exhibition. Tastefully presented, small but with works by many different artists. Following you can enjoy indoors or outdoors with small dishes, delicious cake or just a drink in the attached Café in nice atmosphere.

  • This museum, which specializes in sculptures is fantastically situated apart from the loud out. A very nice villa with great gardens. There is an old and a new building. About barrier-free accessible. The exhibitions are very well made and real great presents. The staff is present, unfortunately not particularly friendly. What a pity. That would increase even more the charm of this small, but very fine Museum.

  • In Georg Kolbe's (1877-1947) Berlin house and studio, this museum has changing exhibitions about sculpture -- some modern, some historical (as of this writing about Kolbe's work itself) -- a lovely ga...  more »

  • A serene place with its own spirit. The collection of Kolbe's sculptures are, although limited, quite fascinating. They have a liveliness to them that truly entices. The garden is half of the exhibition, with several sculptures and its contemplating atmosphere.
  • Lovely garden, great café - may need reservation when the weather is good - and amazing art.
  • Great coffee in a great atmosphere. The Georg-Kolbe-Haus, in which the sculptor has also lived is now a museum with a small restaurant where you can sit very comfortably in the countryside. It is surrounded by sculptures and even from the garden of a look into the Studio, where the portraits of him can be seen. They can be visited but also from the inside.

  • Beautiful collection of magical garden. There is also a lovely Café. Everything under ancient trees and only a few metres from the Avus.!

  • Great small museum in the former home and Studio of Georg Kolbe. There's just a very well-curated exhibition about the famous gallery owner and art dealer Alfred braiding home. Also, you can Crown the exhibition visit with a trip in the adjacent Café K.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
