  • The Berlin government apparently want nothing to do with this. It's the last of it's kind and an important piece of history, run on charity donations. While there, the person working there was very fr...  more »
  • Check out one of the original Berlin Wall Watchtowers. The young lady who supervised your visit is very knowledgeable and is anxious to share the story of this historic site.  more »
  • Not a lot of your attention in the alley. Frankly, I don't expect to see much when you exit the tower. Departure fee 3 Euro. You can take photos in front of. Information provided by multi-tasking woman dating to the tower are notable

  • awesome little tower. good information both in German and English. totally worth a visit and not as commercial and crowed like all the other places!
  • This was a very nice place to visit. The guy in front was trully pationnate and shared with us the story of this tower and how the environment around it evolved. Even if you decide not to climb, you can easily take pictures of the inside and the outside. I would advice everyone to visit it if they go to Berlin, especially as it is a very important part of the history of the city.
  • Neat to find this little tower tucked behind Potsdamer Platz. The person "manning" it explained that keeping it open to the public is a private initiative. He also told us it's the oldest part of the Berlin Wall still standing in its original spot.
  • Berlin Wall Watchtower is passing my expectation. It is more memorable and more historical site of the collapse of the Communism than Checkpoint Charlie or East Side Gallery. In BWW, you could find the real sense of being separated from families and relatives. Sad feeling in your heart will came up immediately and finally you could praise the Lord that the Wall was finally broken dawn. What a humanity was treated as a bargain of politic!
  • Great piece of history! Definitely worth a visit and the local guide was awesome too!
