  • This place used to be incredible. It's become more commercial over time, and incredibly crowded. Still a great place to hang out on Sundays, but it used to be more.. special, unique. I feel like it's losing that certain rough charm it used to have.
  • Still very very nice. The atmosphere is the reason to come here. People are chill, enjoy themselves, and the park has a ton of bands just playing randomly. The market has a lot of artists selling their things in the front. In the back there are a bunch of actual flea market traders that sell vintage furniture and accessories. And on the left you got a lot of food. If the weather's nice, it's going to be full, but honestly I don't think the atmosphere suffers from that.
  • Love this market. Great local artists playing. Karaoke is fun to watch. Lots of food and drink to pick from. The only downside is it's alwayyyyyys crowded.
  • Great place with a lot of nice old and new things to buy. The atmosphere there is also very nice and everyone seem to be very friendly. It's mostly extremely overcrowded, so not I guess not everyone will enjoy it, because of that. It can be also very expensive, it's not a typical fleamarket, where you can buy things almost for free. But it's a great place if you're looking for some art pieces for example for your apartment, or if you want to eat some street food, there is a lot of it there.
  • A large flea market for everyone! No admission fee but go early or brave the crowds. Definitely more than enough to see and do here along with plenty of food and drink vendors. Also right next to the park itself so you can sit down and relax away from the wandering masses.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
