Today, we were invited to a birthday breakfast at a good friend. He had chosen this place because he was ideal for his grandchildren. While adults dine inside and chat, the children can play outside wonderfully. The breakfast was simply delicious. Excellent organic products, good and lovingly prepared. This includes a simple and friendly service. We have felt very much at home.

OK, Easter Monday with rain weather and around 10 degrees, because it's hard every outdoor location to sell well. The domain of Dahlem relies completely on organic and eco and there is nothing really too exposing. The stereotypical audience knows how to appreciate it. If you have no small children and the Museum is closed due to illness, you can drink even a tasty organic tea and then go back home.

Great and exciting exhibition on food, agriculture, nutrition and consumption in East and West Germany. Well equipped, suitable for young and old.

  • A charming old farm directly in Berlin. The farm is located across the road from the entrance to Dahlem S-Bahn station. A place worth visiting for adults and children.
  • Beautiful area to visit for seeing animals, buy fresh farm foods and just relax on the orchard.
  • Nice "village" to walk with kids. Unfortunately they introduced closing time that was not before.
  • Very nice especially with kids. Calm place and larger than expected considering it is located in the city. Lots to learn about agriculture. The restaurant was not cheap but the quality was excellent. Cute playground.
  • Very nice farm to visit.. The kids enjoyed to run looking at the animals.. You can sit and have something to eat.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
