Designpanoptikum, Berlin

(4.5/5 based on 320+ reviews on the web)
Described as a "surrealist museum of industrial objects," Designpanoptikum celebrates all things utilitarian, including objects from sports, aviation, medicine, and film. However, the displays are not straightforward and educational, but rather blend objects from different fields to create works of art. The installations are lit in shadow and don't offer any description; instead, you are encouraged to handle the objects and speculate about their use. Your ticket also includes entry to a photo gallery with the work of Vlad Korneev. Using our online itinerary creator, Berlin attractions like Designpanoptikum can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

  • Small-large Gallery of surrealist works realized by assembling, in a creative process free and instinctive, objects of the past century collected everywhere (hospitals, factories, etc). The Gallery Director (photographer of Russian origin) and author of all works, is very personable and helpful, after a (due) introduction at the time you purchase your ticket (€ 8) is so ready to follow visitors, if they wish, and to ' explain ' their works on display with a perfect balance between seriousness and irony; He says that in the works to understand there is nothing, what matters is to recognize the creative process itself that gave them form.

  • It had fallen even our children in the Designpanoptikum, above all, because they had not quietly whisper. We go again definitely.
