Discover fine Baroque and Rococo architecture at Charlottenburg Palace, the largest palace in Berlin. One of the city's most iconic landmarks, the 17th-century palace sits on an estate framed by large formal gardens, a belvedere, and mausoleum. Tour the palace's royal apartments to view an extensive collection of 18th-century French paintings and fine porcelain. Outside, you can wander through the Baroque-style landscaped courtyards. You may only take photographs inside the palace if you purchase of a permit at the entrance. • We had a few spare hours one afternoon so we went by this palace. Overall it was nice but it's a little far out of the way and it's not as spectacular as other European castles as much of this palace ...  read more »
  • The gardens are free, give you a tour and delight yourself in the beautiful manicured gardens and overlooking the Palace. The Palace inside I liked, took the entry total of €12 allows you to visit the Palace, the Belvedere, the mausoleum and the new wing. Give you an audio guide and you are telling the story of each room, very useful. We were about 2 h 30 in total.

  • 10 euros entrance (August 2016), attention supplement to pay if you want to take pictures! supervisors will not fail to ask you your extra ticket when you wear your device... without certainty, there is also a charge for access to the Park, but a part is public (joggers, etc) and this part is already very beautiful in itself.

  • Not much to see. Quite disappointed. I think it is C+ rating from a tour guide info. I paid €12 with welcome card discount including €3 photography fee. Didn't take many photos. Waste of money.
  • The museum/palace are currently under construction, and although Schloss Charlottenburg has significant historical value, proves to be a pricy experience. I recommend taking a stroll in the gardens around the back - it's free, too! Great for a romantic gander or a laid-back afternoon.
  • Nicely restored palace, especially the park is lovely. This place is perfect if you want something that is still Berlin history but not related to either World War II or the Berlin Wall.
  • Currently under restoration but still enough of it to walk around as it's so big. Amazing that it's been brought back to this condition following WW2. The more public Gardens around the back of the palace are big and peaceful.
  • I love park and forest around. lake with swans n ducks. its paradise in summer
