  • On a balmy summer ( or even just nice and warm ) evening, having a drink and nice meal at this beer garden by the lake, with rowing boats going up and down, good wheat ( and make sure it is the wheat ...  more »
  • Came here with my other half during our walk through the tiergarten and was pleasantly surprised. We don't speak German and so struggled with the menu a little and opted for pizza which was under €10....  more »
  • There are different "areas". If you would like to sit directly on the Lake is self-service (with drinks). Closer at the guest house you can order then drinks and food during the operation. The prices are pretty high. The latte macchiato could be slightly stronger. It seemed so, as though only one teaspoon of espresso in it. From approximately 23: 00, there is no hot drinks more, because then the coffee machine is an. This has surprised me somewhat because I know it only so that there are no hot meals from a certain time. Behind the entrance door to the toilets for women an opening located in the wall - probably a construction site. (Could you cover something).

  • Great location. The best part is the tables overlooking the water. No great menu options for food and slightly expensive also compared to other beer gardens but perhaps they charge more for the view. A good place to be at least once for the view.
  • Cool place to come on a sunny day, however mostly super crowded. Therefore kind of hard to get a nice seat, especially close to the water. Besides, the staff is rude and not friendly at all. Card payment is not possible and it takes some time to place an order. The food is nothing special and the prices are far to high! Even though it's a place of different nature for Berlin, it is far too overrated and not Berlin alike.
  • A well-situated cafe, but one where the food leaves much to be desired. The prices are high, and the food is bland compared to Berlin's other offerings, and you can't eat outside. What can't be beat, though, is the beer garden tables outside overlooking the water. It's a good place to go for a drink with friends.
  • easy to find, self service biergarten food and drink outside, - average and dear.. restaurant inside always pretending to be full.. Nice place to sit outside by the lake with your friends though
  • Visited here in the summer at about 11:30am, and the weather is nice and midly chilly. Had a Kristall for 4.5€. Food price isn't the best deal, I'd recommend you just stick here for a beer, with a view; a small lake infront of you. Nice beer garden.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
