Brücke Museum, Berlin
(3.9/5 based on 65+ reviews on the web)
Brücke Museum features the largest collection of artwork--more than 400 paintings and thousands of watercolors-- from the Die Brucke movement, one of Germany’s most famous expressionist groups. The collection even features several rare pieces from the early years. Founded in 1967, the museum offers an extensive series of exhibits, including wooden sculptures. Look for original documents pertaining to the various artists, which also are on display. After your visit, wander the grounds and surrounding Grunewald forest. • Already the permanent exhibition is really very nice, now there is a really nice Nolde exhibition. The way that time is not a problem. The building is beautifully situated, you can visit the exhibition in an hour. Unfortunately, there is no audio guide, that would be the icing on the cake. If you're lucky, there's a guided tour; These are highly recommended! Advantage of this museum is that it is not so crowded and very beautiful.

  • The Museum donated a piece of your wife who after Pechstein, Heckel Brücke in 1964, greeted the 80-year-old founding member of one, Karl Schmidt = rottorf 74 works to the city of Berlin donated, and was a member of the Brücke, opened on the edge of the forest in the Berlin suburb of Grünewald in 1967. As mentioned earlier, has been exhibited only Brücke members of the painter's work is, of course, enjoying the works of Kirchner, Nolde, Mueller.

  • Lovely little museum featuring the works of one of my favourite art movements. Well curated, lovely setting in the woods. Would highly recommend as a nice escape from busy Berlin.
  • Always worth a visit if you like that aera of artists or are interested in learning about it
  • Unique art exhibition,. Compact and quiet place in the woods of Grunwald. Try to walk from Grunwald S station.
  • Nice place.
  • Very provocative, different and interesting display of art!
