  • One of the most amazing attractions of Berlin, is a little away from the tourist area. There occurs the Tulipan, spectacle of tulips, from mid-April to mid-May (not to be confused with the Keukenhof, Amsterdam), depending on the weather. It's a huge park, with beauty and landscaping, are 90 hectares, a Lake, snack bars, playground for children and many areas to relax, make picnic, stroll and enjoy life. There's even a train that transports visitors to longer distances. Will be € 3 ever spent of your life, if you enjoy nature, flowers and outdoor activities. In addition to the tulips, there's dandelions everywhere, this location is a great show.

  • An oasis of calm in the midst of the troubled Berlin. Well-kept Park with many seating and reclining to rest or a book to read. You may great even on lawns and around there. Restaurants, food stalls for the stomach exist. For the little ones, you can rent a stroller. For children beautiful playgrounds, but no beach. Picnic permits, barbecues forbidden. Changing seasonal floral offerings still beautify the whole thing. Since the Park against admission no conditions such as in other public parks in Berlin--no drugs, no harassment. Order and security will be taken care of. Note: bicycles are not permitted.

  • Especially in this time of year it's nice in the week to visit the Britzer gardens. A week is nice to run it through the quiet Park and to detect the first signs of spring.

  • A very beautiful and well maintained garden. Great for walks and picnics. On weekends in the summer, model boat enthusiasts often show up to show off their boats. There's a nominal entry fee, but it doesn't cover rides on the kids train. All in all, a highly recommended garden.
  • Beautiful grounds with many interesting areas to explore and inviting resting places. Fall flowers were in full bloom, some as big as my head. We ate at the restaurant in the park and had a decent meal. This place in good for people of old ages, and during the weekday, off season, I found great solitude.
  • Location of the 1985 Bundesgartenschau. Somewhat out-of-the-way and a bit odd but very beautiful park with different pavillions, a small railway, and food options. You won't see any tourists here which can be quite refreshing after downtown Berlin which can seem like an American outpost in the summer.
  • Once designed in 1985 to be the host-site for the Bundesgartenschau, and to be a haven for Berliners, in an area where once one could only see grey, desolated areas. It quickly gained fame to become one of the prettiest, most colourful parks in Berlin, to which one can gain access for next to no money. It has vast landscapes, and very many sights, including: Lakes, restaurants, many art installations and many flower fields. A bit of a drive outside of Berlin, it is still quite accessible and not too far away. Once there one will see it is clearly worth it.
  • Great big park in Berlin. Lovely lakes, restaurants and places to chill. Rose garden is a fragrant delight!
