  • It's in the middle of the street (island between crossings). You gotta know your German filmmakers and stars to fully appreciate it though.
  • Berlin's turn on Hollywood walk of fame. You will find German film makers, musicians, actors and other celebrities here. Pretty clever is hire that built little pillars with holographic goggles. So you can take a photo with you and Marlene Dietrich and others :)
  • I don't know any of these guys...
  • Why have placed this tribute to German film in a discreet location! The idea is great, but we're well alone! Nothing to do with the atmosphere in Los Angeles.

  • Boulevard of the stars similar to the great of the German-speaking film are the "Walk of Fame" in Hollywood, in Berlin on the "Boulevard of the stars" at Postdamer Platz and television honored with a star in the floor. Since 2010, after the then Governing Mayor Klaus Wowereit had inaugurated the Boulevard in the framework of the Berlinale, happen every year new stars. The idea of the Boulevard of the stars already had the film historian Gero Gandert in 2002. A first competition for the design of the Memorial failed but in 2004 to the local conditions. Subsequently, modified the framework and first selection procedure is performed, where 153 candidates from Germany and mainly participating European countries. Among the remaining seven participants, a competition to design the future Boulevard was advertised in February 2009 by the Berlin Senate. Meanwhile, over 100 brass plates in the floor are embedded on the small street on the central reservation of the Potsdamer Straße. Marlene Dietrich was the first that was honored. But also Romy Schneider or the Director Fritz Lang, the actor Mario Adorf and Hardy Krüger, the author Wolfgang Menge, the musician Klaus Doldinger, the producer Artur Brauner and the composer Hans Zimmer are among the celebrities who were memorable. The "monument" to the artist can be visited throughout the year. Source: Wikipedia, text and photos: Klaus Tamam
