  • The Berlin radio tower is the Tower of Berlin-West. So at least the sight of a Berliner's from the western sector of the city. From the 150 m-high tower you have a fantastic view of the city. The little brother of the Paris Eiffel Tower, it might be structurally speaking. It was built in 1926 on the occasion of the Funkausstellung. Who intends to dine at the radio Tower restaurant, should book previously. In contrast to the Berlin TV Tower at Alexanderplatz, there's basically no waiting. But beware: During very windy weather Tower is closed.

  • From the middle of Berlin, you've to travel quite a bit to reach the Funkturm in the western part of it, just west of the #100 Autobahn and in the immediate vicinity of the Südwestkreuz. S-Bahn 41 and...  more »
  • On the outskirts of Berlin, this is a radio tower, which I recommend to all those who don't want to spend exorbitant money (€ 14) and wait a few hours for entrance to the better known television tower (Fernsehturm) on Alexanderplatz. The view is almost identical (that is really wonderful) and the tower itself has a very nice and interesting design. To all I recommend!
