Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.

  • We were very dissapointed to find out this small exhibition. It is not worth the fee and I would have skipped it even if it was for free  more »
  • Asisi and his team have done a great job to recreate the views and atmosphere of the Berlin Wall. With a viewing gallery that gives you a better 'feel'. It is very realistic. The video of Asisi and ho...  more »

  • The experience of what people went thru during those days is what you exactly feel. Great efforts done to create this one for sure. Should be experienced when in Berlin. Lucky to go on a day, you pay what u want to check out for it.
  • Come on Monday, you pay a little less for it. You pay want you want. The museum is a big dome shape painting with special lighting effects. Its very immersive and you cannot find something more immersive than that. They use different lighting to emulate the day and night behind the wall. Really nice. Apart from the painting, you have various photographs showing how people destroy the wall and other relevant picture about the wall. Visited April 2017
  • The panorama is the main thing obviously and you get a great experience with it. Not much else to see. You need about 30-40 minutes you visit. €10 entrance is too expensive, it should not be more than €5. Fortunately on the first Monday of the month (between 16:00-18:00) you pay what you want, so I used the offer to pay less.
  • helps you take a real look at the era during the berlin wall. do watch the documentary to understand how much work was put in to create the Panorama Effect.
  • Just stumbled upon the building randomly. What was inside was completely worth the visit. Donation upon entrance.
