  • The museum is located in the former Jewish quarter of Berlin, blocks from the neue synagogue. The museum is very difficult to find! It's located among several buildings facing internal courtyards and ...  more »
  • Have you read the diary of Anne Frank, you should visit this place. There is a small exhibition about Anne's life and the diary is on display. 4 PCs are available with movies that both describes the second world war in a good and easy way but also allows you to digitally walk around in Anne's hiding place and get descriptions of her life behind hidden doors. Our party consisted of sv 8 people including four were teenagers, all were deeply affected. One of the films is 28 min but well worth their while. It's a bit difficult to find the hut, no big signs located outside but you have to know the address. You walk into a port and arrives in a backyard full of fantastic graffiti. Just time itself is worth a visit.

  • I loved this little museum. It's hard to find but don't give up, the entry way is worth it! It's literally a room but the way it's set up is side by side the way the nazi regime was gaining strength o...  more »

  • Definitely worth visiting if you're in Berlin. The entrance is through a small alley that is easy to miss if you're not using navigation. The centre is pretty small. You'd spend 1.5 hrs tops if you wanted to read every single info page. Don't forget to take a look at the copies of Anne's journal in different languages- they're on the shelves by the entrance. They have a washroom and lockers for your backpacks. You have to climb two flights of stairs to get up there. Unfortunately not wheelchair accessible.
  • Small and difficult to find but interesting content. Part of the 50 museums included in the 3-day pass.
  • Small museum with loads of pictures. Very touching place.
  • small musuem. No historical importance for the place but the musuem is a short journey and comparison between how life of young Anne Frank evolved parallel to the progress of the Third Reich
  • Great area and nice place to visit! I really enjoyed the small Zentrum and their exhibition.

Where to stay in Berlin

The Kreuzberg neighborhood near the Oberbaumbrüke bridge is central and full of Berlin icons: street art, a piece of the Berlin Wall, the East Side Gallery, and a proliferation of cafes. Friedrichshain is another option with a hip vibe due to the students who congregate at its cafes and galleries. Consider Mitte as a historic home base. Mitte is the area where almost all of Berlin's well-known buildings are located, and it is within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. For a peaceful residential area, try Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf where the streets are lined with boutiques and quiet coffee shops.
