Learn more about the Obersalzberg mountainside retreat at Documentation Obersalzberg, which was erected on the foundation of a former Nazi guesthouse. Adolf Hitler regularly vacationed in this area beginning in 1928. The museum features more than 950 documents, photographs, audio clips, films, and maps, as well as a scale model of the area. • Who is on the Obersalzberg and interested in a little of the history of the mountain, necessarily takes a few hours for a visit here. The documentation consists of many images, some films, reports, biographies and a part of the bunker. The exhibition is so varied that one can get here more often. Soon to be expanded, I look forward to new impressions!

  • If you're into the Second World War then this is a must visit location. The bunkers and tunnels underneath are eerie but interesting.
