  • We could get a very good impression on an informative tour. Unfortunately, we were pretty much in the corset of the time and we have made us a further tour, we perform alone, more time to bring something.

  • Trains depart from the Munich Central train station 27-36, local line home at one time. Looks into the Don Bosco Street opposite the railway station, crossing over Abbey building. Ceiling painting of the Cathedral is a must. Shop is located next building--selling books and sacristy now Su-purchased a CD of sacred music and folk music. Passage there is the monastery Cafe. Because it was a cold day, or fewer people outside of the local popular café was filled with people. It is a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Elbow-length Dirndl clad waitress who feels good, delicious coffee, home-made cakes are best. Fruit with cheese cake with fresh cream, sweet ordered the only fresh and delicious. Up the stairs next to the concession stand and Baroque arts. Tonight, is a Bavarian-style advent day. In the beautiful Hall beautiful music!

  • On a rainy afternoon when we were scheduled for a small town tour, an impromptu change was in order. Along the road near Bad Tolz's lovely countryside, we found this place. Made it through the natural herbal shop just before it closed. The monks garden with Mosaic pathway and herbs and flowers growing with the well in the middle is almost magical. Then walking to the Abbey itself the beautiful building, and inside the cloister with the flowers and mature trees. Just beautiful. It is the rain poured down we went into the chapel which was dimly lit. And being a choral group somebody started singing, and we sang through a couple of hams a cappella to no one in particular. It was beautiful, haunting, emotionally moving. I'll never forget it. A beautiful place etched in my memory for the rest of my life.
  • Wenn Kräuter kaufen dann in dem Kloster!
  • The #Kloster Benediktbeuern, Don-Bosco-str. in 83671 #Benediktbeuern, Bavaria, Germany is absolutely worth seeing. The courtyard, the arcaden shopping centre, as well as the magnificent Church, called 'Dom in the loisachtal Valley', are in good condition and for any art connoisseur. Wheelchair users also can visit the Basilica. Thanks to a Foundation, the Basilica has been restored again and again. 1672 was begun with the construction of the two towers. 1681-1685 he was then the Abbey as the first high Baroque church in Bavaria. You can find more useful information in my collection sacred Kostbarbeiten on Google + good middle-class can eat then in the Klosterbräustüberl, real, #bayrisch, well. An a nursery and a small health food store are on the spot. I liked also the small herb garden. You can travel by train or by car.

  • We have stayed a night in the Guest House of the monastery and are thrilled with the location, the facilities and above all the friendliness of the staff. Still we dream in the monastery garden back :-)
