  • Very beautiful and spacious monastery. Magnificent baroque monastery and Basilica. Definitely worth a visit!

  • There are places in which you want to return. There are other places worth visiting at least once in their life. And there are places that are familiar to us just a little and have a lot to tell, if you go there ... This place for me became the oldest monastery in the small village of Germany, in the foothills of the Alps. In Bpenediktbojern me brought a passion for ancient history, not wanting to touch the roots of Benedictine Chronicle of Germany, and a godsend here in an old monastery library of texts that formed the basis for the works of Carl Orff Carmina Burana. I rode one from Munich, found the monastery was not difficult, since it is located on the eponymous little station right vokzal'chika. The day was overcast, the visitors were few, although already in the morning worked inside the monastery of Christmas market. Of course, to go to these places must be in late spring or summer, when everything is blooming, the monastic rose garden will delight, and want to sit on the lasochke under the magnificent plane trees. A dank November afternoon was hiding in the Cathedral of the monastery, its thick walls, sit in silence on the polished by centuries of varnish and think about his ... The whole Monastery complex is designed in the same style remarkable German Architects Farouq Azam and Cimermannom at the end of 17 early 18 centuries in early Baroque style, strikes the Interior of the Church and the ceremonial hall for reception of pomp and luxury of the stucco. One of the main relics of the monastery is the hand of St. Benedict, which gave the brothers the monks in the year 800 Charlemagne himself. Lush halls inside the monastery can be visited only with a guided tour, which takes place on weekends and holidays once a day at 14.30. You can book a tour by phone, via the Internet. 08857 88172

  • Very beautiful monastery after the order of the del Bosco! Well preserved building, very nice the environment, the garden, and also the cemetery. The Klosterbräustüberl is recommended. The most we were impressed but by the Conference held family worship on Sunday. Not as we know it in deeply Catholic communities, to strict ritual, no it was relaxed, with chorus and atmospheric contributions. Absolutely recommended!

  • On a rainy afternoon when we were scheduled for a small town tour, an impromptu change was in order. Along the road near Bad Tolz's lovely countryside, we found this place. Made it through the natural herbal shop just before it closed. The monks garden with Mosaic pathway and herbs and flowers growing with the well in the middle is almost magical. Then walking to the Abbey itself the beautiful building, and inside the cloister with the flowers and mature trees. Just beautiful. It is the rain poured down we went into the chapel which was dimly lit. And being a choral group somebody started singing, and we sang through a couple of hams a cappella to no one in particular. It was beautiful, haunting, emotionally moving. I'll never forget it. A beautiful place etched in my memory for the rest of my life.
  • Wenn Kräuter kaufen dann in dem Kloster!
  • The #Kloster Benediktbeuern, Don-Bosco-str. in 83671 #Benediktbeuern, Bavaria, Germany is absolutely worth seeing. The courtyard, the arcaden shopping centre, as well as the magnificent Church, called 'Dom in the loisachtal Valley', are in good condition and for any art connoisseur. Wheelchair users also can visit the Basilica. Thanks to a Foundation, the Basilica has been restored again and again. 1672 was begun with the construction of the two towers. 1681-1685 he was then the Abbey as the first high Baroque church in Bavaria. You can find more useful information in my collection sacred Kostbarbeiten on Google + good middle-class can eat then in the Klosterbräustüberl, real, #bayrisch, well. An a nursery and a small health food store are on the spot. I liked also the small herb garden. You can travel by train or by car.
