  • there is not much left of this medieval castle, only the dungeon remains visitable and you can climb to the top (the view at the top is exceptional) possibility to drink and eat in the high courtyard (small cafeteria without more) the rest of the castle is very ruined. The price is paltry 2.5 euros

  • The short ascent on foot is rewarded with a wonderful view of Beilstein and the Moselle Valley (also accessible by car); Admission €2.50. Overall nice location; the restaurant may have gotten a bit old, but on the nice terrace you can enjoy the view with a glass of wine or a small snack. A visit to Beilstein is a must-visit to Metternich Castle.

  • The castle is very nicely located and can be climbed in a few minutes with a bit of fitness. The view compensates for the small effort. The entrance fee of 2.50 € is also very moderate.

  • Lovely old ruin and little town in the bank of The Mosel. Stunning area. Beautiful.
  • Cool place to visit. Have your stair climbing shoes on! Restaurant in the castle!
  • Amazing view and lots of places to eat ice cream with nice landscape..
  • Whilst the climb up the keep is fun and the café serves great cheesecake, the main appeal is the absolutely glorious views from every point.
  • This castle is prime example of how a ruin can be turned into a great tourist attraction. Great views of the river from the top. The trek up is not too strenous.
