  • The museum is located in the House where Franz Liszt lived (and died). It gives a nice overview of the life of Franz Liszt, also with a nod to Chopin. I found it myself nice to other photos of Franz and his students to see, than the widely known. There is also a large wing, but it was by Richard Wagner (the daughter of Liszt, Cosima, was married to him). It is highly recommended to also in the Centre of Bayreuth along to piano Builder Steingraber, because there is a real grand piano by Franz Liszt. (PS: opposite the museum is the much larger museum about Wagner, there you can also drink coffee)
