  • The Queen Mary's Bridge (Marienbrucke) is a tourist attraction, built in 1845. it's popular because it's the best views point of Neuschwanstein castle.  more »
  • To anticipate it: Yes, it's insanely crowded on the bridge, sometimes you have to stand even snake, but the view of the castle is phenomenal. I was totally thrilled. We chose from the parking lot of the 40-minute hike through the Woods. (Gravel road) This way is much less frequented than the paved path to the Castle, also no buses or horse-drawn carriages ride there. Top arrived views enjoy just that famous photo shoot and choose the way to go back to the Castle, or one of the hiking trails. In 3 h runs for example on the Tegelberg mountain. Either way, this little "detour" is worthwhile in any case.

  • The bridge itself is not very great, but the view from the bridge to the castle is a postcard! Absolute must when visiting from Neuschwanstein Castle. The way from the car park to the Castle, to the bridge and back to the parking lot is a small circular walk. Man running down up and again in 30 minutes. To note here is that the rise from the parking area to the bridge is very steep and pebbles to the Castle rather moderate and paved. Thus, you can choose what is a rather steep uphill and downhill flatter or vice versa.
