  • The monastery houses also authorities of the city next to the Church and the museum rooms. All this is not accessible due to renovation works currently. But still, you should climb the Michaelsberg, best: coming from the old town go along on the river Regnitz, this look at little Venice on the other side. To the City Center (itself worth a visit) shore climb, now follow the yellow signs. There is a small door, one could easily overlook without an another yellow sign - this open and now climb stairs and paths in the retaining wall on the road. You can also take the city bus there. For cars, there are hardly any parking, so be careful! First, one walks through an abandoned vineyard with Baroque chalets. From here, you have a very good view of the surrounding area up to the Giechburg (also a worthwhile destination). Benches are available even to a break. Then continue to the monastery itself, it just unfortunately currently not can be seen. But the view to the hill over a vineyard, other, still in operation is unobstructed, also it's worth to climb the Michaelsberg. Then then best onward through the old town to the Cathedral.

  • They say that, like Rome Bamberg is located on seven hills. One of them is Mount Mihel'sberg posted at its apex in the 11th century Benedictine monastery. He attracts the attention of tourists with its two peaked towers. Now a nursing home.

  • Unfortunately it remains somewhat disappointed by not being able to see this ancient monastery inside but it's still a wonderful example of German architecture and the scenery is very beautiful.
