Bamberger Dom, Bamberg
(4.4/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Marking the heart of the city is Bamberger Dom--also known as Cathedral Hill and the home of the Imperial Cathedral of St. Peter and George. Choose from four tours and be ready to be impressed with its altitude on top of one of the seven hills of Bamberg. Dating back more than a millennium to the reign of Holy Roman Emperor Henry II, the Gothic/Romanesque cathedral contains the grave of Pope Clement II. The Bamberg Horseman, an intricate equestrian statue by an unknown artist, is also worth a look. To visit Bamberger Dom on your trip to Bamberg, use our Bamberg vacation trip planner.

  • Man should not miss a visit of the Cathedral. The Cathedral square is worth getting an inspection, to see beautiful architecture of the building with 1000-jähriger history is. Inside, you can see many niches, the famous Bamberger rider, and the burial place of the holy founder couple. A guided tour is recommended.

  • Bamberg is one of UNESCO World Heritage sites and a visit to the Cathedral you can not miss, part of town and built near the river and kinda reminds our Venice. The Cathedral is majestic and imposing consisting of four towers at the corners towers over the city, and lies on the large square. The Interior has a fine nave, as well as beautiful the altar surrounded by a wooden choir. Admire the impressive pipe organ, from the square next to the Cathedral you can admire the rose garden. Worth visiting if you find yourself in Bamberg.

  • Stayed here in July 2014, on the upper floor. Great location. Easy walk to all attractions. Limited car parking, but we were looked by staff after and never had difficulties. Room was great with restricted views. Would happily stay there again.
  • Christine is a fantastic host providing a warm and authentic welcome to her hotel. Hotel is centrally located in the heart of Bamberg close to beautiful scenery the city is famous for. You will not be disappointed.
  • Location close to the University, rooms very clean and the service is very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended.

  • Ms. Bosch is a beautiful hotel. But for the price, some things have bothered me. Not good dark curtains. No mini bar, only a refrigerator on the stairwell with water or cheap juice in plastic bottles. An Ultra mini TV in the room. From the large and beautiful breakfast room, you could do so much more. Why no snacks or food for later hours? The place is there yet. The bed is much too narrow and uncomfortable. Had back pain every morning :-(
