(4.1/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
More than 1,000 pieces of art grace the walls of the ultra-modern Museum Frieder Burda, named after the printing tycoon Frieder Burda. All of the pieces on display are from the personal collection of Burda, who wanted the public to have access to the remarkable work he had enjoyed over the years. The open gallery spaces are inviting and harmonize with the garden outside with the help of large windows. Take your time viewing the painting, prints, and sculptures in this serene environment. • We were already in the Museum Burda. This museum is one of the most beautiful ever. No matter what's going on for an exhibition is: the architecture is just great

  • The visit of the building is an enjoyment of art for yourself. Each time, we enjoy the beautiful architecture of the Museum at the Traverse of the large bright rooms, the references to the Lichtentaler Allee from the building are just great. Definitely recommended, even if the art is not always every taste is the building alone already worth a visit!

  • One of Germany's best privately owned museums has recently embarked on extending their reach and started to present more complete and relevant exhibitions. The museum itself is located in a beautiful park which is also well worth a visit. The interior of the museum follows basic modern white cube principles but also breaks with some of them by allowing a lot of natural light, which can be nice depending on what pieces you're looking at. The Gursky exhibit was very well done showing a well picked selection of his work ranging from the classics to his very modern pieces dating back only a year. Heads up: getting here by public transportation is a mess. Take a car or share one if you can.
  • Nice and very elegant painting exhibition in excellent location but I would not call it museum
  • Architecturally a work of art must be visited. Interesting exhibitions often sej hr!

  • Not only the art in it, already the museum itself are impressive! Prices impress however, so 4 stars.
