Lying on the Black Forest Hochstrasse scenic route, is one of the few cirque lakes in the Black Forest remaining from the Ice Age. The lake is 1,032 m (3,385 ft) above sea level, and its surrounding mountains offer excellent hiking opportunities. • Were a peace March there, outside the tourist season, which beamed Lake and is beautifully framed by FIR. There is a beautiful Lake Trail with small area with some lounge chairs to relax and there's a small Petting Zoo, the animals were still not out in March and a small playground. The Lake is a large hotel with restaurant. Large car park and a business with tourism article. Tip: There's also Bacon and freshly baked bread. This is to recommend that tastes very good. Panels to the legend and history of the Lake are on the Lake.

  • I would like to known why all waters are so dark. Peat or iron? Not terribly inviting him to bounce, but on the day of our visit it was anyway too cold, snow piles along the roadsides...

  • An idyllic and often lonely place was this time. Now, this is a Tourstenmagnet with huge parking lots, wide paths around the Lake, giant food and souvenir shops. Those looking for Black Forest feeling, should do better somewhere else.
