  • The Cistercienserinnen Lichtenthal Abbey is a monastery with a pleasant Café. The monastery shop also offers a lot, in particular special tea herbs from our own garden.

  • From the monastery, cloister and Church of the Abbey are daytime freely accessible. The Prince's Chapel and the small museum can be visited in a guide. The Prince's Chapel is the burial place of the Margraves of Baden. There are the late Gothic altarpieces of the "Lichtenthal of master" and other works of art of this time. In the Museum are manuscripts, see instructions for use and art objects of over 750jährigen monastery history part of a guided tour. Guided tours of the Prince's Chapel and the Museum: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 15: 00 location: at the end of the Lichtental road.

  • Walked from town to visit the peaceful chapel. It was very dark inside but atmospheric. I imagine in the summer it might get busy.  more »

  • great atmosphere like at the meals in the Church, was there spontaneous early in the morning to the listen to the music... the rooms not a good climate, it threw me in old times of to strict Christian life back, can a like to stay not recommended for sensitive people because of the bar everywhere present and the Kreuzen...schade

  • Very good room to the side of the "OOS". There was another loud party music from 23:00 until the early morning of Friday to Saturday in the June 2017. Although the Guest House explicitly advertises for a "break", nothing was returned by the Manager of the Guest House as a percentage me from the room price. First nothing is calm in the Kandimalla and then you will be treated even more unfriendly. It's a pity, so not to deal with guests!

  • A very nice idyllic place. In the Klosterbereixh, there is a school, Church, lumen Café and a shop where you can buy books, candles and homemade liqueurs and herbal. Shop and Café are open also on Sundays, it closed on Mondays.

  • The place itself is historic, well maintained and very beautiful. Café, however, prides itself not just with his very long waiting times and that although only drinks and small snacks are served.
