  • Medieval place, very well maintained, a jewel among the ancient cities and villages of in Germany. There is a good selection of restaurants and hotels. One or two nights worth it to explore friends old Hohenstaufen Palatinate with its volatile past and the environment.

  • The very important historically since the Staufer-era place is absolutely worth a visit. Forms an ensemble despite multiple destructions in even surprisingly well received during the thirty years war and often beautifully restored building substance, as one finds it only occasionally. The roads and streets in the Centre are lined with restaurants, cafes and tea rooms, which give a pleasant and cosy atmosphere to the place. The 3 museums that you can visit for 10 euros entrance, provide a broad overview of the history of the city. The origins in Roman times are good in the stone house and clearly displayed, printed and related political developments in the middle ages can be found in the Museum in the Palatine Chapel and the newer town history and architectural history from the mid-17th century is shown on 3 floors in the Museum in the old hospital. All 3 museums worth. In addition, it offers the look of the wall, which previously limited the Imperial Palace, a beautiful panorama on the Neckar and the vast landscape up to the vineyards in the distance. We have spent a very nice day here and can really only recommend a visit to the bathroom Wimpfener old town.
