Here you can get a concrete idea as to how the rural population into the Swabian Oberland has lived in former times. This time not only going back until in the 18th century, some of these houses, such as the school Hall were until after the second world war in operation. I felt reminded of Georg Vilsmaier, sometimes on the film "Autumn milk" even though he plays in Bavaria, but country life looked alike everywhere. The permanent exhibition there is still action weekends with interesting performances, E.g. old craftsmanship. As I have experienced, older visitors feel partly reminded of their childhood. For children and adolescents is the completely new territory and partly like from another planet.show original

Janet GrasshoffIt is a great offer for families planned afternoon. Admission prices are more than competitive. Children up to 6 pay nothing. The audio guide is recommended. For a mortgage there is even free. The museum village is lovingly designed. With many details and hands-on stations you understand very well the life of the rural population. There are cows, sheep, goats, chickens and pigs. Some animals can even caress. The museum village offers some events that are certainly worth throughout the year. We were on a weekday. It was nice and quiet and so we could see all alone. An all around successful afternoon. We have not used the restaurant on-site. There were but Swabian specialities, drinks and coffee.show original
