  • Rode on a rental car from the Czech Republic. The most beautiful border between States. Then the amazing views from the road near the Elbe. Have parked by the Bastajshtrasse. 10 minutes and get to the hotel from Bastaja. And then begins the trail, with views that are impossible to describe in words. Castle entrance was free

  • The sights were spectacular from that altitude but why anyone would want to build a castle there escapes me. If you're not afraid of heights, then take the tour you won't be disappointed. You have a g...  more »
  • Beautiful destination, when you have no fear of crowds. Good views and nice tour for 2 euro possible. The descent via the Sweden holes is recommended. In the Saxon Switzerland, there is however still much and prettier, less frequented places to discover more. In my opinion the Bastei is somewhat overrated.

  • Stunning views. The small additional Tour for 2€ of the firmer Fortress grounds is worth it for the amazing views. The Bridge is free otherwise. Very organized Shuttle and bis Service available
  • Beautiful view. It is said it takes 2 hours to get up from kurort rathen and down. But if you are planning to stop to enjoy the view, to have a rest, to drink tea on top of the hill it takes about 4 hours for the whole trip up and down.
  • Awesome place! Don't just go on the bridge, go on the hiking trails on that area, they are the best and have the best views.
  • This is an excellent trekking experience and one of the must do things if you're going to Dresden.
  • Really cool place to visit. Might be a good idea to go in the afternoon when its not so crowded.
