  • The ruin of Hardenberg Castle is always worth a visit. Especially for families, it is a wonderful site that is worth the way!

  • A castle ruins to explore. Even I with my over 40 LEchzen had great fun exploring the Castle and my wife (history teacher) was later thrilled and said that this was a castle where they got for the first time in medieval feeling. Children also have fun should have years from 8-9, because you can explore some course.

  • ...so can probably be described in two words the Hardenburg. The entrance fee €9 for two adults with a child is appropriate, for that you get a large ruin with everything included. At the beginning, an exhibition explains how essential to the Castle before they must decide whether one enters the castle through the parapet walk or the main gate. About lies in the Centre of the fountain, especially worth seeing, I find the view into the garden of failure and the all-round view from the observation deck on the Western bulwark. To discover and inform ca 2,5 hrs I was there on the road and certainly not the last time to visit.

  • Historical ruin castle / Fortress with maps in English (other languages as well). Beautifully maintained and lots of space to explore.
  • One of the largest and best castle ruins to explore in Germany.
  • This is where we played sports, saw open air theater, and reimagined the middle ages.
  • Worth a visit
  • Large, well maintained castle ruins. The newly designed entrance area is certainly not to everyone's taste, but it served its purpose as a small Castle Museum. All here objects were found in the Castle, the staff will gladly and willingly additional information. My son and I spent a lovely afternoon here for €4.50.
