  • Unfortunately the Wernerkapelle get only still al ruins, stands in the Centre of Bacharach. It was built around 1287 hochgitische style in 1689 the chapel when the demolition was the Burg Stahleck badly damaged, as debris on the still intact until then Chapel fell. For several years running an initiative to the restoration of the Werner Chapel.

  • Don't go to Bacharach without visiting the Wernerkapelle. It's just a few steps up the stairway and pathway behind the St. Peter Kirche. It is amazing to see what could have been a lovely Gothic Churc...  more »

  • Interesting skeletal remains of an old chapel. Unintentionally destroyed by the French when they were destroying the castle further up the hill. Has a controversial history. Nice views.
  • The ruin of all Church. Unfortunately most of it is what remains cordoned off so that you can not enter. In general but very nice to look at. Beautiful view.
