  • Located in the middle of Augsburg. A wide variety of produces are offered, claiming that they are fresh and organic. Therefore, the prices are quite high. Many places to have lunch here. It's quite busy at lunch and sitting areas are limited. Prices for lunch are average, not more expensive as in a regular restaurant. The market is not opened as long as the stores, so be sure to check it out, especially if you're just visiting Augsburg for the weekend.
  • If I would have to pick one place to show to a friend from abroad I would bring him to Stadtmarkt - the central market of the city. It gets more and more popular but is still an authentic experience where you can enjoy Augsburg and it's inhabitants from a very typical point of view: what they eat, what they drink, how they speak & how they feel: two halls with loads of food stands serving from typical Bavarian food to everything else Europe and the rest of the world has to offer; many flower shops with fair prices; bakeries offering from cheap to super organic products; spices, meat, toys, fruits, vegetables, an espresso on the go, cakes... And if you suddenly hear a rooster singing while walking around and enjoying the stands you just heard one of the most iconic things of Augsburg: the market roster, located on the big tower in the middle of the market, crowing every full hour.
  • Really nice atmosphere and good products. Large choice of vegetables and other foods
  • Awesome selection of food and drinks
  • lots of Mediterranean cuisine
