Perlach Tower, Augsburg

(4.4/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web)
Climb Perlach Tower, a 70 m (229 ft) tall watchtower built in the 10th century to get a panoramic view of the city-- but be prepared for a bit of a workout. The entrance to the tower is easy to miss, but you can find it on the side of the church. You will need to climb a good deal of the way up the tower on its narrow steps to get to the ticket office. Make sure to plan your climb so you are not at the top when the tower bells ring, as it is extremely loud and can hurt your ears. Make Perlach Tower part of your personalized Augsburg itinerary using our Augsburg trip itinerary builder.

  • The Augsburger Perlachturm is a tourist attraction in Augsburg... He is located right next door to the Augsburg City Hall... I know unfortunately not more how much levels it to the top are... not suitable for older persons not as Spry or arrived people with knee complaints... above you has all Augsburg... on nice days a super view over just great... and then at the Town Hall square trinken...bis date has that nothing tasted... can commit something but instantly go a cappucino , because most of the cities are very damp.

  • One of the highest buildings in Augsburg with its 70 meters, you are rewarded with a very beautiful view right next to, and on the Town Hall.

  • Although exhausting ascent, it's worth it for the panoramic views of the city. Is next to the City Hall right in the center of town.

  • About 400 steps you need to climp to have the most memorable view over Augsburg. The tower guards can tell you witty anecdotes (they even sell for some euros a small book with interesting details on the tower's hitory), for children they have honorary certificate for climing the tower and with good weather you can see in the South the beautiful Alps.
  • One of the best views in Augsburg. MUST visit when you are in town
  • Der Ausblick ist jede Stufe Wert.
  • Nice
  • Hair dryer have a magnificent view to the Alps and over the whole Lech Valley. The 270 steps (I think) are worthwhile. Beware of the Bell work, specifically on the hour. That can be pretty loud. If the weather allows view of the Alps, to my knowledge who hoisted a yellow flag on the tower. Also of one of the twenty places in Augsburg, which you should have visited.
